Gloria Musaealis

Acknowledging the importance of the protection and use of movable cultural heritage – as it is one of the important sources of historic memory – and the importance of its preservation for this generation, as well as future generations, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, together with the Association of Museums and Galleries of the Czech Republic, supports the activities of museums and galleries within the Czech Republic in many diverse ways, regarding them as institutions involved in creating such a source of knowledge, protecting it and making it accessible to the public. Motivated by the desire to contribute to the appreciation of the significance of museums and galleries and in order to acknowledge their activities in creating collections and educating the public, they organise the National Museum Competition - Gloria Musaealis.
